Lok Chetna Yuva Manch (LCYM) came into being with the commitment to an all round development round development and prosperity of rural people in disadvantage groups such as women, children Adolescent and Yotuh Generation. The organization has focused to mainstreaming of disadvantage community such as schedule Tribes, Primitive Tribes, schedule caste and others socio-economic backward community. Having lived nature, the people of Jharkhand and endowed with rich culture, forests and minerals. Ironically, it is also one of the most backward regions of the country. We have set out the vision and aspirations of the people of Jharkhand of achieving social equity, prosperity and involvement of the weakest and most backward sections of the society in the development process.

LCYM was founded in the year of 2004 by a group of young social activists having good understanding and knowledge in social issues with the inspiration of various social reformers such as Mahatama Gandhi, Birsa Munda,and Swami Vivekananda. Under the guidance of experienced Social Workers, still it is growing by working together with deprived section of the society. Idea behind the formation of society has been putting all experiences of social development and rural reconstruction into practice with strongly belkieved on “Nature is always fulillment of our needs but not Greed”. Initial stage LCYM has implemented their ideology in small pockets in 20 villages & 10 slums areas in Jharkhand, after then year by year extension to others disadvantage pockets in Jharkhand state. Gradually covering number of villages, more than 160 villages of E.Singbhum, Saraikella- Kharsawan, Jamtara are under intervention.
